The remembrance of the Holocaust and of the Roma Samudaripen
A magyar Oktatási és Kulturális Minisztérium az Európa Tanáccsal együttműködésben „Roma Holokauszt" témakörben nemzetközi konferenciát szervez Budapesten 2008. július 31 – augusztus 3. között. A nemzetközi konferencia célja, hogy a Holocaust oktatásában fontos szerepet betöltő pedagógiai szakértők, gyakorló pedagógusok, és mindazok, akik segíteni tudják a holocaust oktatásában a roma holocaust megfelelő megjelenítését,
— megismerjék az egyes országok gyakorlatait;
— gyakorlatorientált csoportmunka során dolgozzanak ki óravázlatokat és tananyagtartalmakat
— közös javaslatokat fogalmazzanak meg a roma holocaust erőteljesebb megjelenítése érdekében az oktatásban.
Célunk feltérképezni a nemzetközi helyzetet és a program végén lehetővé tenni, hogy a résztvevők használható tananyagot vihessenek magukkal.
A konferencia helyszíne:
Európai Ifjúsági Központ (1025 Budapest, Zivatar út 1-3)
Részvételi díj nincs.
A konferencia nyelve magyar és angol.
2008. június 30-ig várjuk pedagógus kollégák jelentkezését, akik a hazai iskolai oktató-nevelő munkában a holokauszttal, a roma nép történetével, a magyarság és a roma történelmi együttélésének kérdéseivel megkülönböztetett hangsúllyal kívánnak foglalkozni.

15 participants from the host country
Contents:
· Presentation of existing materials, discussing with policy makers about possible ways of improving Roma Holocaust education ;
· work in small groups on materials received on how to integrate existing materials into everyday teaching ;
· Expecting participants to make short presentation about the teaching of the Roma Holocaust in their own countries.

Subsistence expenses:
Subsistence expenses are covered by the host country. Any travel, included in the programme of the European Workshop, will also be taken in charge by the host country.
